West Laurel Hill Funeral Home Gets the Green Light
Management Company Awarded Small Business Advantage Grant for LED Lighting Replacement
BALA CYNWYD, PA – December 2019 – The West Laurel Hill Cemetery Management Company was recently awarded a Small Business Advantage Grant through the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection. The grant, enabling Pennsylvania small businesses to purchase energy-efficient or pollution-prevention equipment, or adopt waste reduction processes by providing a 50 percent match up to a maximum of $7,000, allowed West Laurel Hill to complete the final phase of light bulb replacement in its funeral home with more energy-efficient LED lighting. West Laurel Hill received $3,163.
“Anytime I have a chance to support local business with green initiatives like this, I am happy to do so,” said DeLissio, who advised West Laurel Hill Cemetery and Funeral Home President and CEO Nancy Goldenberg that this category of grant was available for West Laurel Hill. “This organization has been a national leader in sustainability and is dedicated to reducing its carbon footprint, and I am pleased that they applied for and were awarded this grant.”
