We are proud to share that our President & CEO, Nancy Goldenberg, has been awarded Honorary Membership from the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA). Honorary Membership is among the greatest honors for non-landscape architecture professionals in recognition of national or international notable service to the profession. Throughout her decades-long career, Nancy has worked tirelessly in support of parks and historic public spaces and now brings her depth of leadership experience to our cemeteries. Her many accomplishments include the designation of Laurel Hill as a certified arboretum, gateway improvements at both cemeteries, the initiation of a volunteer community gardener program, planting thousands of seasonal bulbs along Belmont and Ridge Avenues, and the development of a natural lands restoration plan for the steep slopes of Laurel Hill. Nancy has actively promoted the designation of Nature’s Sanctuary, a green burial area at West Laurel Hill, as SITES Gold Certified, and has lectured on the award-winning project to local and national audiences.
