Concert Under The Stars: Benefiting Rock to the Future

West Laurel Hill is excited to bring back our Concert Under the Stars music series. Join us on Thursday, August 17th for a night of good music to support a great cause! This years event will benefit Rock to the Future, an organization which provides free and low-cost music education for Philadelphia youth in-school, after school, and during the summer. Local musicians Chris Brooks and Good ‘Nuff will also be joining the bill.

Tickets are $10 per person. Proceeds from the event will benefit Rock to the Future.

About Rock to the Future:
Through after school, in-school, and summer programs, Rock to the Future provides music education opportunities for lower-income Philadelphia youth at no cost to participants. Starting with just 13 participants in 2010, Rock to the Future now annually serves over 600 youth through after school, in-school, and summer programing, along with one day events and workshops. Focusing on guitar, bass, drums, and piano, collaboration and original songwriting, and live performance, Rock to the Future students have shown incredible improvements in musical ability, social skills, and academic performance. Rock to the Future’s MusiCore after school program boasts a 100% college attendance rate for high school graduates and includes daily homework help, individualized tutoring, and college application and scholarship assistance, in additional to daily musical classes.
