West Laurel Hill and Laurel Hill Boards Appoint Nancy Goldenberg as New President and CEO

BALA CYNWYD, PA – January 2018 – West Laurel Hill Cemetery & Funeral Home and Laurel Hill Cemetery are pleased to announce the appointment of Nancy Goldenberg as its new President and CEO. Nancy, who began at the start of 2018, succeeds Pete Hoskins, who served in this role for the past eight years, until his decision to retire.

Of this new position, Nancy has taken on her role as President and CEO with pride and a vision for growth and development. “For me, this role to lead West Laurel Hill Cemetery & Funeral Home and Laurel Hill Cemetery, as well as provide oversight to the Friends of Laurel Hill Cemetery, not only weaves together my professional experiences and my personal interests, but also rouses my passion for the green, open spaces and the many unique assets that make Philadelphia and the region so special. I am looking forward to working with and leading a team of caring professionals and insightful civic leaders who have positioned us as a model organization in an industry that continues to evolve.”

Nancy inherits this position with over 35 years of experience in public and non-profit organizations throughout the Philadelphia region. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Affairs from The George Washington University and a Master’s Degree in City Planning from the University of Pennsylvania. Her previous work experience includes but is not limited to Executive Director for the Center City District Foundation, Vice President of Planning & Development for Center City District, Chief of Staff for the PA Horticultural Society, and Assistant Township Manager for Lower Merion Township.

Regarding the induction of the new President, Pete Hoskins, former CEO & President said, “Having known and worked with Nancy for over 30 years I am personally delighted to see her as my successor.
